Abstract
Orchestra is not dead, nor dying. Orchestras have a penchant for rebirth. Civic enterprise calls for it. The Conclusion looks at the current state of the orchestra and looks optimistically to the future. The concert finding website backtrack.com lists in a given month around 500 orchestra concerts in 175 venues. The number of concerts is still thriving. Looking at the number of young people involved in orchestral music today, the demography of concert goers and players is not aging. There is a future for the orchestra.
